The Field
The Field Leiden is Leiden’s circular testing ground and is part of PLNT. Located next to Leiden Centraal, you’ll find a circular pavilion, three tiny offices, and a lovely garden here. It’s the perfect spot for a meeting, drinks, or a brainstorming session. All buildings in the park are circular. This means that the spaces are constructed from reclaimed materials.
Circular living lab
The Field is a circular hub and is building a community of businesses, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, the province, the water board, the municipality, and residents. Together, we share a single goal: a sustainable future! We want to serve as pioneers to reap the benefits of sustainability and collaboration.
On the grounds, companies can rent one of the venues to host an event, a social gathering, or a meeting. Companies can also test their innovations here. If you’re interested, please send an email to The Field.
Re-used materials
The Field is constructed from reclaimed materials derived from, among other things, the ‘Duurzaamste Kilometer’ of Leiden and its surroundings. For example, the lights in the Pavilion are old street lamps, and the floor in the Locker Room is from an old gym. Curious about all the materials used per location, along with their origin?
