PLNT alumnus Bionomic is on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list. The company announced that last week.

Diederik Mud and Stan Aanhane started their startup while studying at Hogeschool Leiden. There, they conducted research on developing a diagnostic tool to detect harmful fungi, such as Fusarium, in soil.

After their studies, they set to work full-time to further develop this solution. The startup has since raised 1.4 million euros to develop technology that protects crops from soil-borne fungal diseases.

The startup is now included in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list, as part of a new generation of biotech companies solving global problems.
