New investments for LeydenJar

2 februari 2026

PLNT Alumni LeydenJar has secured another investment round of €7.8 million. This now rounds out LeydenJar’s total capital round to €43 million.

ABP as new shareholder

The investment was led by APG, on behalf of pension fund ABP, with the participation of TNO. With this investment, ABP shows that they have great confidence in LeydenJar.

The next step in the battery revolution

The investment joins the growing interest of large long-term investors in technologies that can be both produced on a large scale and have a positive impact on the climate.

With this completed capital round, LeydenJar has a solid financial base to start commercial production and support customers in bringing new battery products to market.

LeydenJar recently achieved several milestones. In mid-2025, the company introduced the silicon anode product Silyte and announced a partnership with Chinese battery manufacturer Highpower. In addition, LeydenJar expanded its operations to the United States and began preparations for its first large-scale production facility, PlantOne.
