Startup Secuped
The PLNT startup Secuped, founded in 2023, is developing a smart insole that detects inflammation in diabetic patients at an early stage. Their aim is to prevent amputations and reduce the burden on healthcare. Their solution has now been clinically validated and is being further tested with medical partners. Thanks to the developments made by the startup, they have been invited to appear on BNR’s PITCH! podcast.

During a special recording with BNR, co-founder Martijn van Giessen presented their mission in one powerful sentence: “We prevent amputations in diabetes patients by detecting the first signs of inflammation at home.”
