GameAnalyze is all about the well-being of children. With an innovative app, Dmitry and his co-founders Ilia and Alex screen children for mental vulnerabilities in a playful way.
In doing so, they are working toward a clear mission. Their goal: to give parents and healthcare professionals faster and more accessible insight into children’s well-being. “Originally we wanted to create a diagnostic tool, but due to strict regulations and high costs, we changed course,” Dmitry explains. “Now we focus on well-being and especially on signaling, not diagnosing.”
GameAnalyze ‘s journey began with a conversation between friends who all have undiagnosed ADHD and struggled with this as children. Through a network in the Netherlands, it quickly grew into a startup with international ambitions. Through Innovation Quarter in The Hague, they not only got a foothold, but it became clear how important it is to know the right people and share your story.
“I’m not a networker.” Admits Dmitry smiling. “But unlock_ has taught me that without networking you won’t get anywhere. Everyone in the program helps each other out, even if you prefer to stay in the background.”
"unlock_ taught me that without a network, you don't get anywhere."
unlock_ proved to be a real catalyst for GameAnalyze. Not only did they receive their first donation from Rabobank in the third week, they also learned to continually hone their pitch and vision. The biggest challenge? Pitching in front of different audiences and experts, while staying true to your own story. But in this environment, everyone is unique, and you learn from each other.
During the first three months of the unlock_ program, several trainers really made a difference for the GameAnalyze team. Dmitry cites Stefan Ellenbroek as the first to provide valuable advice. Rob Mayfield stood out for his inspiring and educational sessions, and Nick Veringmeier for his expertise in presentation and marketing. Michelle Sjollema even managed to make financial topics accessible and inspiring.
What will the future bring? Above all, choices and direction. The last major change in direction, from b2b diagnostics to b2c wellness, was exciting but essential. “You keep learning, meeting new people and expanding your network.” Dmitry believes it is important for startups to share their successes because you never know who can help you.
"Talk to Sven and Christian, because their experience is golden."
When asked to describe unlock_ in one word, Dmitry did not have to think long: “Opportunities. The program offers so many opportunities.” His advice to new founders? “Talk to Sven and Christian, because their experience is worth its weight in gold.”
In five years, GameAnalyze hopes to make a real impact. Dmitry says that helping people live happier and healthier lives is always number one; money only comes second.
