unlock_ Student Community Ambassador

Are you a student with a passion for Life Sciences & Health, Biotechnology, (Bio)Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field, and would you like to help build a vibrant community around innovation and entrepreneurship? Then we are looking for you!

Since June, the unlock_ hub has opened its doors in Leiden, in BioPartner 3 (next to the university’s Sylvius Building): the place where students turn ideas into impact, connect with entrepreneurs and researchers, and discover how science can grow into real-world solutions.

To bring even more life and energy into the hub, we are looking for a student ambassador (approx. 8–12 hours per week, flexible) to help us grow the community, organize activities, and build a bridge between students, startups, and researchers in the LSH ecosystem.

Your role

As an unlock_ Student Community Ambassador:

  • You are the friendly face of the unlock_ hub for students and visitors;

  • You help organize community events, workshops, and meet-ups;

  • You connect with study associations, labs, and educational and research programs in the fields of Life Sciences & Health, Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences, and other related disciplines;

  • You share stories, opportunities, and inspiration from the unlock_ hub to introduce more students to the world of entrepreneurship and innovation;

  • You actively contribute ideas to make the hub even more fun, accessible, and collaborativ

Compensation: €14.55 per hour (including holiday pay)

Who are you

  • You are an HBO or university (WO) student in Leiden with a background or strong interest in Life Sciences, Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences, Health, or a related STEM field.

  • You are part of, or have access to, a network of students or researchers in these fields.

  • You are proactive, curious, and enjoy connecting people.

  • You feel comfortable communicating in Dutch and/or English.

  • You enjoy taking initiative, organizing things, and making an impact within your community.

About unlock_

Unlock_ is part of PLNT Leiden and focuses entirely on entrepreneurship within Life Sciences & Health. Based at the Leiden Bio Science Park, unlock_ supports (future) entrepreneurs in transforming scientific knowledge and innovative ideas into solutions with societal impact. We do this through programs, coaching, a strong network, workspace, and a community in which startups, researchers, and students strengthen one another.
