Six PLNT entrepreneurs shine in the Equals Role Model Campaign

3 november 2025

Starting November 3, Leiden will get a new face, literally. Across the city, from the center to the station, billboards will feature proud portraits of women showing that making an impact begins with daring to be visible.

For the 2025 Role Model Campaign by Equals, more than 130 women in tech and entrepreneurship were portrayed, including six inspiring entrepreneurs from the PLNT community:

Katarina Madunić from Glyco Diagnostics, Charlotte Poot and Nicole Donkel from Hospital Hero, Ruchella Kock from Axite, Violette Defourt from Rapidemic and Elena Naumovska from StemX Bio.

At equals, they believe that visibility creates opportunity. There motto: ‘you can’t be what you can’t see’.
With this campaign, they spotlight women who make a difference every day in science, technology, and entrepreneurship.

From glycan research to child-centered healthcare, from AI to biotechnology, the six PLNT entrepreneurs showcase the diversity of innovation’s future. They share their stories of courage, curiosity, perseverance, and the power of collaboration.

What connects them? The belief that real change begins with people who dare to use their talents for something greater.

💬 As Nicole from Hospital Hero says: “Improving healthcare doesn’t start with systems, but with people — with caregivers who dare to dream and dare to act.”

We’re proud of these role models from our community. Women who don’t just innovate through their work, but also inspire.

📍 On display across various locations in Leiden starting November 3.
