Startup Axite

The startup Axite emerged as a spinoff from Leiden University. Founded by Charlotte Franenberg and Ruchella Kock, the company was born out of the frustration that you cannot see what is happening inside your brain. With Axite, they developed innovative software for home monitoring of brain health. By linking an EEG headband to smartphone interactions, Axite can measure cognitive functions and detect changes over time. The startup is now launching its product specifically for people with epilepsy, with plans to expand to other brain diseases in the future.
