Join our new PLNT Students Board!
PLNT Students Leiden & PLNT Students The Hague are looking for YOU!
PLNT, the Leiden Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, is hiring a part-time student board! We inspire and educate students about entrepreneurship and on how to become a succesful entrepreneur.
Curious about this exciting journey? We are looking for both for the PLNT Students Board in Leiden and The Hague:

President
The presidents of PLNT students are the face of the organisation and the first point of contact, especially to external partners. They must be approachable and they commit to knowing the running of the association in detail, so as to be able to easily present it and represent it at any time.
The position involves an overseeing function of both their team (the rest of the board) and of strategy. In that regard, the president is responsible for facilitating meetings and planning them (in collaboration with the secretary), assigning their content and establishing a yearly plan of activities. Furthermore, they are in charge of the general strategy of the association and of the alignment of its activities to this strategy. Last, but definitely not least, the president ensures the well being of their team and of PLNT Students members and promotes a healthy and safe environment.
Secretary
As Secretary, your job is primarily administrative: you keep PLNT Students transparent by keeping proper administration – for instance, incoming and outgoing mail. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of weekly board meetings together with the President, by taking meeting minutes. You send mailing to general members of the association to keep them informed about relevant events and programs. Finally, you are the contact person for questions from members and external parties about the organisation. This function requires organisation and an eye for details!
Please note that for PLNT Students Leiden, this function is shared with that of the Marketing Manager.

Treasurer and Business Affairs
As the Treasurer and Business Affairs board member, your job is to keep the official stuff in order so that the rest of your board can fulfil their roles to the maximum. You manage the financial affairs of the association and the budget, but it’s also wise to have a good handle on everything else that requires precision and eye for detail. This includes keeping up with all the members and their membership contributions, what supplies are running low, how much beer is in the fridge, and many more important things needed to keep the association running smoothly.
You need to keep track of the money going out, but also opportunities to raise more money through partnerships and sponsorships with other parties. There are still tons of opportunities for partnerships out there!
Marketing Manager
As responsible for Marketing for PLNT Students, you are in charge of stimulating the visibility of the association by planning, creating, and sharing engaging and fun marketing content for the community and beyond! Among others, you will take care of the socials, and write a monthly newsletter for PLNT Students members. You provide the association with physical marketing materials. Overall, you commit to using your creativity to best boost PLNT Students’ visibility.
Please note that for PLNT Students Leiden, this function is shared with that of the Secretary.

Education Manager
Being Education Manager at PLNT Students involves having an interest in the core values of PLNT: helping entrepreneurs grow!
More specifically, as Education Manager you’ll…
1. Organise workshops to help the members of your community grow
2. Connect with teachers in Leiden to bring Impact, Entrepreneurship and Innovation to their classes
3. Brainstorm with partners on starting education projects
4. Design learning modules for events
In general, you have a lot of freedom to promote and help grow entrepreneurs and impact-makers. Being creative and proactive are handy skills, but embodying the growth mindset is vital.
Events & Community Manager
As the Events & Community board member, you organise events and maintain and foster a close-knit entrepreneurial community. Together with the Education board member you organise activities. You are responsible for planning, developing and producing PLNT Students events, while your colleagues make sure of the content and program. These events play an important role in activating, building, expanding and connecting the unique PLNT Students community. Going further, you facilitate members’ interactions with the broader PLNT community by hosting events in which both communities can intertwine. Last but not least, you connect members to entrepreneurs, partners, industry experts and various stakeholders.
You create an annual plan with activities, including goals and objectives. You will attend many PLNT Student activities. You know how members and externals react to them and will use this to improve and to create a closer community.
