Startup Play: meet the new cohort

21 October 2024

A new cohort of Startup Play participants has started again. So it’s high time to introduce you to the newest group of changemakers in the community, who will get to work on their idea during the program!

Igno Maggio

Igno’s mission is to improve happiness in the workplace through actionable strategies. He aims to create a platform that helps organizations identify areas for improvement. Based on these areas of concern, he will recommend customized strategies to boost well-being and create a positive work environment.

AirTreeNTree

Atilla Turos of AirTreeNTree wants to axe carbon offsets in the same way that, for example, AirBnB does with homes and Uber does with cars. How? By resolving inefficiencies and exploitation in the carbon market.

Kneepkens Medical

With Kneepkens Medical Jonathan Kneepkens plans to cure tinnitus, a debilitating disease that affects more than 10% of demons. He plans to do so using an innovative method that combines nerve stimulation and acoustic stimulation.

Kate Vannoy

With her startup, Kate Vannoy aims to develop an innovative ‘point-of-care’ detection method that can reliably identify drugs. Upon identification, an affected party (e.g., emergency services) can be quickly informed of which possible drug is present.

Patrick Eichelmann

Patrick Eichelmann’s company makes Mexican tortillas with sustainable ingredients. Patrick hopes to combine cultural authenticity with environmental friendliness and cause a change in the current market for tortillas.

Digital Legacy

Ruslan Shapovalov of Digital Legacy simplifies the drafting of legally binding wills. Thus, by deploying hardware security, he creates a crossover between the digital world and current inheritance law.

Bouchra Harquouli

Bouchra Harquouli wants to address falsification of honey by using analytical tests to certify its purity. The tests are conducted on honey that comes from beekeepers and reinvests any profits back into those beekeepers as well. So not just as charity work, but for the possibility of sustainable income.
