This event is organized by unlock_, the new life science & health incubator in Leiden, of which PLNT is one of the executing partners. This session is included in a series of sessions organized as part of the Venture Academy. All sessions are opened up for other life science and health entrepreneurs who wish to gain knowledge on the topics presented and want to become a part of the life science community.
o 09:45 – 10:00: Kick-off
o 10:00 – 12:00: Finance for Life Science startups – Rob Mayfield (part A)
o 12:00 – 13:00: Break
o 13:00 – 15:00: Panel – loan vs investment vs subsidy – discover your funding pathway? (part B)
The goal of this session is to challenge you on discovering how you are going to finance your Life Science startup. The first part will focus on various ways Life Science startups can finance themselves (through in/ out licensing of technology for instance) and how this impacts your business model. The second part is a panel with experts in the field of subsidies, loans, and investments for Life Science startups. During this panel each expert will talk about why his/her funding is best for you. During the Q&A you can find out which type of funding fits your strategy best.
The session will be at BioPartner 5 (in the room “the View”). Since this is not yet available on google maps, we have provided the following description on how to get there! 😊
Please note, BioPartner 5 is close to Corpus (the museum about the human body), which is available on google maps – Willem Einthovenstraat 1, 2342 BH Oegstgeest.
Car: Drive past Corpus in a straight line (red arrows). When you follow the road (it will curve to the left), you will make it to the parking lot (Yellow block). The entry to the building of BioPartner 5 (green block) lies just across the parking lot.
Bike: If you come by bike you can follow the same path, but please let Ruben Habraken know! He can let you into the bicycle parking spot! The entry for this you can find at the Blue arrow.
Public transport: There are busses which stop close to Corpus from Leiden Central. If you type in stop “corpus” you should be able to see your options. Walking from a stop like these takes (in general) 8 minutes. Please do have a look yourself on google maps or 9292 OV 😊
