Budgets & Balances for Life Science Startups

Venture Academy x unlock_ session

Date: 04 June, 2021

This event is organized by unlock_, the new life science & health incubator in Leiden, of which PLNT is one of the executing partners. This session is included in a series of sessions organized as part of the Venture Academy. All sessions are opened up for other life science and health entrepreneurs who wish to gain knowledge on the topics presented and want to become a part of the life science community.

Agenda:

o 12:30 – 12:45: Kick-off

o 12:45 – 14:15: Workshop budgets & balances for Life Startups

Goal:

How can you make a budget or create a realistic balance sheet as a Life Science Startup, when you are years away from making revenue or going to market? This question is central during this workshop facilitated by BioPartner. During this workshop you will be asked to bring your current budget & balance sheet so you can receive feedback on it and start working on making it realistic during the workshop.

Facilitator: Thijs de Kleer, BioPartner

Location

The session  will be at BioPartner 5 (in the room “the View”). Since this is not yet available on google maps, we have provided the following description on how to get there! 😊

Please note, BioPartner 5 is close to Corpus (the museum about the human body), which is available on google maps – Willem Einthovenstraat 1, 2342 BH Oegstgeest.

Car: Drive past Corpus in a straight line (red arrows). When you follow the road (it will curve to the left), you will make it to the parking lot (Yellow block). The entry to the building of BioPartner 5 (green block) lies just across the parking lot.

Bike: If you come by bike you can follow the same path, but please let Ruben Habraken know! He can let you into the bicycle parking spot! The entry for this you can find at the Blue arrow.

Public transport: There are busses which stop close to Corpus from Leiden Central. If you type in stop “corpus” you should be able to see your options. Walking from a stop like these takes (in general) 8 minutes. Please do have a look yourself on google maps or 9292 OV 😊
